PR Daily Social Media Audit

Social Media is crucial for organization success. If you don't have a presence then what is the point of having social media page. Today we look at PR Daily, PR Daily is a news website about what companies are doing public relations wise. Not only this but it gives advice on how to promote yourself. So let's see how the teacher performs on social media themselves. Keep in mind this all data that I collected based on the last two months.

Number of Followers: 108,747

Target Demographic: Business owners, office workers, and the public relations field.

Facebook Evaluation:

Overall their isn't a lot of strengths for PR Daily which is rather ironic. The positive thing is they have a lot of followers/likes for their page. However it becomes a backhand compliment if you look at their Key Performance Indicator Average only 2.36 per post. Also worth noting out of the top ten links they have 2 pairs that share similar topics. One pair was about a conference the other was about the hot new app Tik Tok.

Number of Tweets: 59.1k

Number of Followers: 115.8k

Target Demographic: Business owners, office workers, and the public relations field.

Twitter Evaluation:

PR Daily with only 7 thousand more followers than what they have on Facebook; has more than 8 times key performance indicators. Its presence is larger on Twitter than Facebook. However if we compare the volume we have over 4 times more posts per day. Based on the data we collected it shows, that for every 4 tweets they're little under 2 more times more key performance indicators compared to Facebook. Due to the volume of tweets and followers its better than Facebook but not much.

Grade: D+

Conclusion:

This is a very ironic audit. This website that talks about how to promote yourself on social media doesn't even do it well themselves. If I were to find this website on my own I would really question the creditability. A high number of followers but extremely low engagement on posts. Personal Facebook profiles with around 1000 times less followers could probably have very similar numbers.
